Our Food forest partners
At Kroos, we consciously collaborate with food forests, organic gardens, and green locations across the country. These places form a bridge between wild nature and human use. Not all of our activities take place in vulnerable natural areas; food forests and organic gardens offer space to harvest, cook, and learn in a safe, well-designed setting, without putting pressure on protected nature.
The food forest movement and the wild foraging movement go hand in hand. Both are rooted in working with natural systems, biodiversity, and respectful harvesting. Food forests are not the opposite of wild nature, but living ecosystems in which humans, plants, animals, and soil support one another.
With our partners, we build long-term relationships, also by working together on the land through wild working sessions and nature stewardship activities. Food forests are popping from the soil like mushrooms and for good reason: they are accessible, biodiverse, and future-focused. On the map below, you’ll find all the locations we collaborate with.
Of course, you can also book a foraging walk at your own location or at a natural area near you. Together, we’ll look for the perfect setting to match your request.
We’re always happy to expand our network across the country, so if you’d like to team up with Kroos and become one of our food forest partners, feel free to get in touch.
