During the walk, you will learn to identify and harvest edible wild plants, get explanations about their uses, and taste the flavors of the season. This is more than just a walk: you’ll enjoy a guided tour through one of the oldest food forests in the Netherlands (over 20 years old), learning how food forests function and why they are so special. Food forests combine biodiversity, sustainable food production, and ecological management, making them perfect for foraging and learning about nature and edible plants.

We meet at the food forest at an agreed time and start with a brief introduction over coffee, wild herbal tea, and a small treat. After the walk, you’ll take part in a hands-on cooking workshop, preparing a delicious meal from the ingredients you’ve foraged. For groups who want to give something extra back to nature, there is also the option of a 30–45 minute nature work session, such as planting, pruning, or maintenance in the food forest.
Our private foraging experiences are fully customizable, suitable for families, groups of friends, and small teams. This activity is available from February to December, allowing you to discover something unique in every season.

Why Food Forests & Foraging go hand in hand
Food forests are ecologically rich ecosystems that combine nature, biodiversity, and food production. They provide a safe and sustainable environment to learn about wild plants, forage for food, and explore the natural processes of a forest. Through the unique setting of food forests, you don’t just learn about foraging—you also learn how humans and nature can live in harmony.
