What is fermentation?
Fermentation is an ancient way to preserve food and enrich it with flavor, nutrition, and life.
By working with natural microbes, we create foods and drinks that are not only delicious, but also nourishing for the body.
We’ve come to believe that canned, sterile supermarket food – devoid of life or microbes – is the safest option. But that’s far from true. Free yourself from cultural manipulation and the fear of this beautiful process of “controlled rotting” and dive into the world of fermentation at Kroos.
In our workshops, you’ll explore the world of lacto-fermentation (think nettle kimchi and fermented vegetables), as well as kombucha and wild fermentation (like blackberry wine or rowanberry vinegar).
Expect fizzy drinks, bold flavors, and hands-on techniques you can easily use at home.
Want to learn how a few simple ingredients can turn into something extraordinary? Let fermentation surprise you and your taste buds!
